Acura TSX Recall: Reasons and Recall Dates

Recalls are common for even the best automobiles; as they have countless mechanical components, some defects may arise due to rust, corrosion, or even problems while manufacturing defects. After releasing the vehicle in market, based on frequently reported problems, and complaints from customers, recalls are conducted by the manufacturer. In this post, the Acura TSX recall info is covered in detail.

Reason and Date of Acura TSX Recall

Honda is going to recall its Acura TSX models, which were manufactured between 2002 and 2008. The recall is expected to start on May 28, 2010. This recall will take place due to generation of high under-hood temperatures, which can cause power steering hose to get damaged suddenly. A damaged steering hose cracks and leaks power steering oil, which may in turn cause smoke and sometimes lead to fire also. In the recall, problems associated with the affected Acura TSX models will be rectified.

Earlier Acura TSX Recalls

On March 19th 2007, Honda Motor Corporation had recalled 165,000 vehicles, which were manufactured between 2005 and 2006. This recall was conducted in United States that dealt with potential engine problems.

Apart from abovementioned Acura TSX recalls, many other models have been recalled in past, including the MDX and RDX.
